Yet another room with just Bats and Bone Halberds. Gimme something more interesting now that I've beaten the area's boss.
I wonder how many marks would be left if you were allowed to cut this rope and crush any bystanders.
I suppose this could come in handy for the next hard boss, which will come in a million years' time.
I'm guessing the creators of these weapons needed somewhere to hide them after realizing their worth.
Down below is a Save Point which I would need to use. What? What do you mean I'm on full HP and MP?
The top area contains a brand new part of the castle, let's check it out.
So it's one of those areas that give us the name after a few rooms huh?
Why does this guy love Axe Knights so much? They get easier and easier every time I meet them.
I would fret about how Fleamen are part of this creature but these enemies are so easy that I might as well not bother.
This is meant to be the area where shit gets real although in this game, spoiler alert, we battle Richter here.
And we already get a warp room to different areas. I'm guessing the game wants us to prepare before doing this place thoroughly.
The area above gives us this little nugget.
Which happens to be useless unless you're handicapped? Too gimmicky for my liking.
This cove up there would require the bat to get up. And for good reason too, the area will lead us one step closer to Richter.
I'm not sharing this with anyone, no matter how hungry Maria would be when we next see her.
And this Relic is......
The one that allows us to Double Jump! Yay!
I don't think we would be able to access this as easily with the single jump. Double jumping kicks arse!
Let's now warp back to the Entrance to continue the rest of the game.
I completely forgot to show you a new monster which we can fight outside the castle.
Annoying owls one year before annoying owls were a thing.
No prizes for guessing which spell will help us here.
I've ran out of things to say when discussing these things.
Yay! More possessed swords.
Yay! More Soul Steal spam.
It's been a while since we found a secret area.
It appears as though we've hit the jackpot here.
I'll pass.
I'm beginning to think that "jackpot" was a too hasty word.
I'm guessing this should suffice as good prize for discovering the secret area.
To the left of the main area of the Quarters is where we can start the Colosseum for real. I'm afraid it will have to wait until we can finish what we can at Olrox's joint.
Hmmm, I wonder.
Yup! My hunch was right on the money; if I use the stopwatch at the room where we first met Maria we can access the area on the right.
I would complain how this is the Alucart Shield and not the Alucard one but otherwise the game would be too easy by the time we clear the Colosseum.
Just wait till my friends at vampire school realize that I've completed the Alucart collection.
Too bad it all sucks.
This should be quite handy though.
Hammers aren't too hard if you can stay away from his hammer, obviously. It will obviously leave a mark. It also won the worst name award of 1797.
Blade is a barely better name. These enemies are bulky at this point of the game, and they're fast as well, but they don't do too much damage in contrast to hammers.
Great! I'm now at the same level as the boss, meaning I have more of a sporting chance against the bosses here.
This dagger looks pretty, shame we can't use it.
The last room we can access currently at Olrox's Quarters. I'll be seeing you at the Colosseum.
Let's begin this place good and proper whilst indulging the jazzy music.
New area, new sword fodder.
This is probably meant to be the prize after beating the boss.
Thank goodness this area has plenty of shortcuts for us to work around.
I suppose this weapon is less situational than the Stopwatch, even if Agunea is the more forgettable name.
Now we can backtrack to the Royal Chapel anytime we like.
I suppose this could be useful whenever we need to make a quick pit-stop at the Master Librarian's joint.
Thank goodness there's a Save Point above us for this next room. Because the enemies here are, bullies to say the least.
There's barely enough room for me to pull off a Soul Steal without the guns going off and Axe Lords kicking me out with his fire.
Always go to the Save Point if you get too low health after being chucked out.
If this weapon is a prize, I'm not surprised why I had to get so dirty in order claim it. Although it will mainly shine once we get to the Inverted Entrance.
We're never going back here again, I swear it. Look at my health and you'll know why.
Here is an example of a Shield Rod combo; this one is with the Knight Shield which simply boosts defense. That's nothing, just you wait until we get the Alucard Shield.
What is an enemy? A miserable little pile of Exp! But enough talk, have at them!
Whenever I see something humanoid in this game I always get worried in-case there's a cutscene.
I reckon this would be fucking disgusting. No wonder it only heals 10HP.
I would fear the amount of enemies in this room but if Axe Lords are involved then there is nothing to fear.
Great, I'm over-leveled in contrast to the upcoming boss. What? What do you mean it's only by one level?
This elevator only really works if you have beaten the boss beforehand. Then the gate above it will open for you to access the area above in-case you fell off.
This cloak is so handy at this point of the game; being broke on hearts will no longer be a worry once you have this on your belt, or around your body is what I should be saying.
Interesting collection of power-ups we have here. I'll be using the Holy Water now I have access to it again.
This will have good synergy with my new Blood Cloak.
Now we've explored what we can, we can finally sort out these bosses. I used to suck at these two on my first playthrough. Meaning they'll be a downright joke here.
I believe there was a question mark somewhere.
Richter appears to have been mind controlled. Things are getting bad here, he sounds even more bored.
I wonder how he's going to break the news to Maria.
And crush those fleas that won't pay me enough! I wanted to voice Alucard dammit!
Time to use what is our signature move at these points in the game.
Yeah, battle's already won.
One's gone!
The werewolf will obviously go down slower because it's the smaller enemy.
But it didn't raise many fingers on me, that's for sure.
I was hoping for someone more enthusiastic at the role but we can't have everything can we?
Nooooooooo! Now I'll have to go all the way back up that elevator to get to the relic.
Using the turbo button, it gets me through the day.
I'm guessing this wall is for us to abuse this new form.
Out of the Bat, Wolf, and Mist; this one will probably be the one we use least. The Bat can get us to unreachable areas with ease, the Wolf is useful for shine sparking later on, and this is only used for getting past particular walls which are otherwise sealed. Nevertheless, next part will be devoted to backtracking particular areas with the Double Jump and Mist form.
