You're viewing this correctly. You do indeed have to go through one way as a bat and another way as a wolf. I have no idea who would figure this out on their first time. But in a way I kinda like this idea and could be executed very well had there been a few more clues.
All of that for a nutritious apple? I wanted a bar of chocolate for my troubles.
Had I not preferred the DEF boost brought by the Shield Rod, I would've welcomed this addition. Use it if you feel like it.
I'm beginning to wonder why these enemies weren't hired at the parts of The Entrance which I could access at the start. Their level would surpass mine at the start.
A Save Point in-case those Zombies were too tough.
I'll equip this armor until I go to the Clock Tower.
All the way at the start so it seems.
This is a bit redundant since I was at a Save Point just a few seconds ago.
I'm guessing this was confiscated after an incident when Alucard was a kid.
Too bad all this does is cause him to bite people.
This is probably either junk data or stuff to show off when you get the Fire of Bat. It's always the bat that has the attachments.
New floor at the Alchemy Lab: we get to see the dirty other sub-weapon peasants.
Unlike the Power of Wolf, this relic is always welcome anytime.
Back in the room where we fought those things the game likes to call bosses.
MUST. RESIST. NOSTALGIA CRITIC JOKE!
I was beginning to get bored of the ugly toothpick of the Fairy, calling her Faerie is too embarrassing.
Interesting Easter Egg if you transform into a bat. Maria's got competition. No really, this bat can actually do a few things, like get a few sneaky kills on opponents when she feels like it.
We can finally do those dodgy ledges which we couldn't access with the Leap Stone.
Seems handy but not worth the stat drop, it should've came early-game.
The graphical limitations prevented a flapjack from being engraved.
I feel like a turnip-face for forgetting this secret area.
Thank goodness this isn't yet another part of this room which requires the Stop Clock.
Handy for those embarrassing situations when the bosses put me on low health.
Always wanted to get into the DIY business. Could be an option after destroying the castle.
Could be good during the lunch break.
Gravity Boots FTW.
Not as good or as accurate as the bat, but you can still have your fun with these.
If Master Librarian was a grumpy old man, this would be the ultimate prank. Although this will still be a giggle.
We even get a Life Max Up for doing this. Meaning this is indeed worth your time.
Time to switch back to the Mirror Cuirass, we busting the Clock Tower.
The Tragic Prince is still a masterpiece.
Flying up to the right will grant us that Fire of Bat which I was alluding to earlier.
I'm not a big fan of it, I barely use it unless I have to.
If there was a toy-line for some of these monsters, the sales would go through the roof.
Romantic probably isn't the word.
The Bekatowa could be useful for my other hand; the Ice Mail isn't too useful right now because of how godly the Mirror Cuirass is here.
This is how the Shaman Shield and Shield Rod combo works.
I don't usually feel the need for setting up though.
This could be a nightmare to go through, not for me though.
Hardly worth putting your dick in the controller port about right?
Redundant much? This secret door uses a farfetched method as well.
You have to slash all four gears in this area until they click. This will be painful if you don't have the Mirror Cuirass on you.
I was thinking that a baseball cap would've fitted this area better.
Those Pot Roasts would look good on..oh, that kind of plate.
I'll have some fun with that for five minutes.
Back to the old fashioned way of finding secret areas, thank goodness.
This guy seems protective over his goodies. I'm guessing this is the only time you fight a Cloaked Knight.
I wonder if taking one of the items he appears to be guarding would piss him off.
So much that I was able to kill him and grab the other Max Up.
The way how Vandal Swords work remind me of how they weren't originally in the XBLA version. Meaning players would need to download a patch in order for them to spawn from Sword Lords. I'm guessing the last parts of the budget were blown on the border with Alucard and Dracula posing for the camera.
The Clock Tower always has something to hide from me.
This is a one that I'll probably equip after clearing this area.
These statues were clearly alluding to something. I wish that was how the bat/wolf tunnel in The Entrance was executed, not so much a centurion statue but something along those lines.
Making a joke out of this concept could be heartless if poorly handled so I won't make one.
Oh hai boss, how easy are you today?
This one likes to summon bats, which will only last for a few microseconds after your Holy Water/Soul Steal is done with them.
Told you this one would be a joke, just like the others. The only boss that has currently made me think twice is the Doppleganger.
Back at the Castle Keep, we'll start exploring this next part.
